Amy started her education with a B.S. in Biology and received her massage license in 1999. She decided to open Amy’s Day Spa to provide these wonderful services to South Tampa. She continued her education in 2009 by becoming licensed in esthetics. Amy recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing to fulfill the vision of adding medical spa services and transforming to TAO Wellness Med Spa. She has a love for the industry and strives to provide exceptional service and maintain a highly educated and experienced staff.

Cassandra Turchany, PA-C

Cassandra is an NCCPA board-certified and Florida State Licensed Physician Assistant trained in a wide range of cosmetic, medical, and surgical procedures. She has been doing these procedures since 2019 and specializes in injectables, lasers, and combination therapies for various aesthetic and medical conditions. She has a continuous drive to perfect her skills with the ultimate goal of helping her patients look and feel their best. Cassandra is Tampa born and raised. She loves scuba diving and is a classically trained pianist for over 25 years. She has a loving fiance and an adorable chocolate labrador puppy that completes her.

Joseph Castellano, MD

Joseph Castellano, MD

Dr. Joseph Castellano is a native Floridian where he grew up in the Tampa Bay area. After attending Jesuit High School, he attended the University of Florida where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry in 2000, graduating with honors.

He received his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of South Florida in 2005. During medical school he received clinical honors In Surgery, and received the Watson Clinic Award for best research by a medical student.

 From 2005 to 2007, Dr. Joseph Castellano completed his first two years of General Surgery residency at the University of Florida, Shands Hospital. From 2007-2010, he completed his residency training in General Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.

During medical school and his 5 years of training in General Surgery, Dr. Castellano developed a strong interest in Cosmetic Surgery. He followed his residency training with an elective year of specialized training with the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.From 2010-2011, he completed a fellowship in Indiana focused entirely of cosmetic surgery of the face and body. During his fellowship, he received specialized training in facial rejuvenation, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, and body contouring. Dr. Castellano received his board certification from the American Board of Surgery in 2010, and is also board certified by the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Castellano has now returned home and has opened a new practice in Tampa, Florida focusing on breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, liposuction, facelift, and eyelid rejuvenation. Additionally, he operates on numerous skin cancers, scar revisions, spider veins, and specializes in the management of aging skin with chemical peels and laser resurfacing.

Dr. Castellano is actively involved in research for the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. He is currently a member of the following organizations:

  • The American Board of Cosmetic Surgery

  • The American College of Surgeons

  • The American Medical Association

She has been in the Aesthetic Dermatology space since 2013 and currently specializes in injectables and laser. She has an eye for subtle restorative enhancements, with her ultimate goal to help her patients age with grace and confidence using the most natural and conservative approaches available.

Ingrid has over a decade of experience as a manager. Tao Wellness Med Spa is the perfect location to utilize her leadership skills and help lead the wonder team of providers at this location. Ingrid also a Licensed Massage Therapist and has over 13 years of experience in the health and wellness field and over 2 years of experience as an educator.  She believes in the therapeutic aspect of Massage Therapy and how it can help heal your mind, body, and spirit through the power of touch. She has acquired several certifications in different modalities but is most skilled in Deep Tissue.

My first job working at a spa was in 2019. I grew a great appreciation for the industry and knew I wanted to continue working at a spa. When I moved to Tampa in 2020 I started working at Amy’s day spa(now known as Tao Wellness Med Spa). All the staff is welcoming and professional, and I feel so lucky to be a part of it. In my time working here, I am grateful for the loyalty and kindness I see from our clients. I love sharing knowledge on the services and products the spa offers and creating a relaxing and inviting reception experience. Now as the Lead Receptionist at Tao Wellness Med Spa, my goal is to work as a team to provide our clients with excellent customer service that enhances their visit.

My name is Dianiz Ayala. I am pursuing a career as an aesthetic nurse practitioner. I earned my CNA license shortly after graduating high school and I’m currently finishing up my prerequisites at Hillsborough community college, soon to start the nursing program. I’m thrilled to say working at TAO Wellness Med Spa has been such a pleasure, especially since it was my first opportunity of being employed at a med spa! I work as a customer service specialist now, and have learned so much surrounded by such an amazing, helpful, and kind staff, which always makes everything much easier as you could imagine. Prior to my CNA license I plan on studying to get my medical assistant license, so that I can work at Tao Wellness not only as a receptionist, but as a medical assistant as well. I’m delighted to see where my hard work takes me!
